@mikeb34 My experience at 54(m): =>Diet becomes more and more important when getting older =>I have not noticed any difference in strength - stamina and overall health when eating more or less protein =>Eating less meat and whole foods makes me more awake =>You need to eat less when aging

How to get stronger as we age

@mz_jess I am 54m/65kg/176cm and have been very active all my life. It is all a matter of fighting the decline as we enevitably get weaker as we age. We also get more prone to injuries. Therefore you need an array of exercices to chose from whenever you hit the gym. I always have some kind of...

Do I need to switch my routine up?

@bfg33 Indeed you are right. And with age we need to keep our muscle mass as this is one of the main calorie burners. But it is hard. Especially when you are trying to lose weight and restrict your calories. I am under 10% body fat and I like to be shredded. But I have episodes that I feel...

Do I need to switch my routine up?

@teacup64 Weight loss is 80% in the kitchen unfortunately. Start eating low calorie dense foods, no sugar. Sport is only a fraction of the calories you lose. Should I see significant improvements after 5 months of training?

@swindon Sounds like you are still eating too much. Try to eat less calorie-dense foods. Also throw in some fasting - you will see the weight come off in no time. Cardio is not really necessary when you are in deficit.

    First day in 9 years

@jnpaapaamoakoheneameyaw Welcome back. Good on you for starting to work out again! I would not worry to much about supplements in the beginning. The most important is to find a routine that works for you and try to stick with that.
