Strength training vs running for fat loss?

@pero Strength training is better overall option in my opinion. However, that being said, doing what you'll be most consistent with is the best individual choice.

    which is more effective?

@shieldy Whatever you will do most consistently will burn the most calories overall. Really though, in my opinion, exercise should be more focused on the adaptation it causes in our bodies rather than the calorie burn. So, if you are looking for improved endurance, the high setting would be...

    Consistently terrible F45 results

@nasa321 F45 is good for “exercise” but not maybe not the best for “training for specific goals”

Gym guy (60s) yells at me (27 F) in gym

@nickblack I like to give people the benefit of the doubt in these situations. Maybe he just found out his wife has cancer. Maybe something else is going on…Not that it justifies the attitude, but we never know what someone may be dealing with. We all gave bad days. If you’ve been going to the...

    How to progress pull-ups? (F25)

@notmyname I would suggest dead hangs, negatives, and band assisted pull ups. Those done consistently should increase your ability and get you to your goal over time.

@healthchristian They would generally be playing with their toys, reading, playing in the yard, doing whatever chores they have been assigned, watching a television show…Pretty much whatever they would normally be doing with minimal supervision. It did tend to extend my workouts when they were...

How do families with young children find the time?

@ryspi76 Used equipment->Home gym. That’s what I did, anyway. The added bonus is the kids can see me in there, which is an example of positive behaviour, and they can join in whenever they feel the urge (within reason, of course). Beyond that, there is no travel time, and I never have to wait...

    routines??

@walkingwiththeholyspirit Look for a full body routine that you can 2+ times per week. (3-5 is best for most people). AthleanX has some good stuff, Legion Athletics has good (some free) programs, Ladder Fitness, MAPS Fitness Products, Nerd Fitness, to name a few. But there are many more...

What are your opinions on exercising 7 days a week?

@xxjesusfreak1984xx I think you are not able to put in the necessary intensity to do all of that each week. I would at least re-arrange some of the days to be a little more effective… That said, if you aren’t chasing goals, are having a good time, and aren’t suffering any detrimental effects...
