Genetics and "Ease" of Staying Lean

@mamalisa03 Local people don't believe in somatotypes. They believe that dudes who are big, strong and fat since childhood and the lean guys with thin wrists are in the same boat. They claim that those big boys ate a lot and trained hard back then lol

    Burpee routines

@ebubekirozkan We all appreciate burpees; we just emphasize that they're not for hypertrophy. You can't get super jacked by doing burpees; you'll end up with a warrior's body, lean and sinewy.

    What is more impressive? 225 bench x 8 or 315 squat x 8?

@spykat19 Bench impresses anyone who benches (almost 100% of gym ppl) Squat impresses powerlifters. Powerlifters are a minority and they are tough people who are difficult to impress with a mediocre (by their standards) squat. Conclusion: bench wins!

Dealing with the modern fitness industry

@mamabdog If you want to compare... Compare to real people - your neighbours, your gym mates and take a look to the real people on a beach. You will be surprised and encouraged. In terms of Insta I'm weak, not ripped 37 y.o. gym rat, but once I won the bench press contest in my gym and that was...

REPORT! I did 100 pull ups a day for 30 days. The result was amazing!!

    Home gym routine for 39 y.o. F ?

@sunnybee Most of the personal trainers in our area are uneducated pieces of steroid meat. Their level of education is literally several months of online courses. I also believe that simple 5x5 + cardio + some pull ups equivalent is a great general fitness routine if you start from scratch -...

    Home gym routine for 39 y.o. F ?

As a well-known fitness influencer at work, I was asked to suggest a simple fitness routine for a healthy, slightly obese 39-year-old female. The truth is that I'm actually an imposter, I lift weights, cycle to work, and run whenever I feel like it. So, I need your advice! She wants it to be...

Doing a lot of sports, but I don’t feel very fit/endurance is trash?

@roland7777 This is a subjective assessment. Can you run 2000 m in 10:00 min? You are at least OK if yes.

7 useful android apps with Reddit-approved routines [tested by me]

Actually, I deleted all these apps (except #1) from my phone since it started to slow down, and I decided to clean up some digital garbage. I wrote this text mostly for myself to remember which programs I will reinstall in case of need :)

7 useful android apps with Reddit-approved routines [tested by me]

Bodyweight Fitness This is a free and underrated app that is based on the old recommended routine from r/bodyweightfitness, which, in my opinion, is better than the current RR. I love that it's free and lightweight. StrongLifts: Provides a simple, 5x5 workout routine for building strength...
