Catch All Day Suggestion

Background: 38/M. Prior Mil. Got out two years ago, was already on downward trajectory.

Started with trainer, TRT, and some other prescribed stuff about 7 months ago 3x a week. Moved states, new trainer 4x a week M-R. All major muscle groups.

Saturday I started getting jittery and went to the gym and worked on a variety of exercises.

Ideally, I’d like to hit things that aren’t necessarily hit during the training sessions.

Any suggestions? Looking for an hours worth.

I’m 40 in March 2024 and want to compete just because…well…to say I did a competition!

THANKS!

@andrew067 I confused uhh what exactly are you asking

Catch all day?

Was the trt needed post military?

Body building?
Power lifting ?
Olympic weight lifting ?

@andrew067 Yeah I’ve heard a lot of military guys need trt my brother in law being one of them. Wonder what it is? He said something about all the shit you’re given before deployment

So as someone who is going to be 40 you should be competing against guys in the masters division.

I’d hire a coach for posing eventually, and stay on a clean 500-1000 calorie surplus till you’re ready for your pre show cut.

Bodybuilding is brutal on the body pre show for sure.

Not sure what your program looks like right now but there are a lot of 5 day bodybuilding style programs focused on isolation and hypertrophy. Not sure how you look now but I’d focus on mass building if you’re new. You’re on trt anyway steroids little brother depending on your dosage of course lol. I lift with guys who claim natty then are running a dose higher then half the bodybuilders in the gym.

Most bodybuilding programs will run your 2ish hours 5 days a week and require a large surplus to take advantage of volume

As far as off days most bodybuilders just focus on maximizing recover and do some light cardio.

If your working set days hit the major compounds then isolating their supporting structures. Muscles that can be hit any day are things that recover the fastest biceps, triceps, glutes, traps, quads to a lesser degree.

But I’m more of a powerbuilder

Compete in powerlifting/strongman but love the sport of bodybuilding and it’s mostly what I do post that days bench, squat, or deadlift

Sorry if that’s not what you’re asking

@dawn16 Yeah. It’s a lot of crap through the different services. Lotta us are on it and lotta us go to private medical clinics during and after.

Just a little comp. Just to say I did it because why not, eh? Call it a goal of mine.

Coach I have right now has some cred behind him, verified Mr. America status through research. We are doing 4x 1 hour sessions a week. I’m not near ready at all but am bigger than the average guy.

I’m actually on 23.5 of var twice a day and about 3/4 my way through my first 10 week cycle of 200mg/ml tren e and 100mg/ml of masteron. 1cc a week on Saturdays.

Yeah. Not natty at all. Also on an AI once a week.

Diet ain’t a problem. Easy following macros and rules. Just need to dial it in. I have 15 months till 40 so yeah. Best get moving.

Probably just need to state my intentions and get ready to roll with it.

@dawn16 I’ll also add that I haven’t experienced side effects from the steroid use. Perhaps my sex drive is up a bit. But no break outs or sweats or anything of that nature.

@andrew067 That’s good to hear man, i know a few guys who weren’t as lucky but they also did it much earlier in life.

I work with a lot of post military guys, (industrial electrician) and all of them have one thing or another wrong. Knees are gone, backs are gone, low T, couple that with ptsd. Some of the best guys I work with for sure. My brother in law a recently retired i believe he was a master sergeant full retirement, they even paid for his doctorate lol. I was refused out of high school due to being hospitalized multiple for asthma… even though I went through wrestling conditioning for 8 years lol oh well

I’m a life time natty, 37 and so far every hormone panel I’ve had done came back great. Never smoked, barely ever drank, and been lifting since I was 14 so 20+ years in the gym not always consistent but something here and there got more serious about 8 years ago.

But that’s not to say I’ll never jump on trt especially if I want to keep lifting for another 20 years. I just had my first son and I’d love to teach him what I’ve learned so far.
