Question: taller at doctor's office because of better posture?

Hi. Since I was 18ish, I (37 f) have always measured around 5'9.5" or 69.5 inches at the doctor. Yesterday i went for a physical and was just shy of 5'10", or 70 inches, close enough that the nurse tagged me at 70 inches. Could this be because in the past few years I've been exercising and stretching more and my posture has improved? I'm under no illusions I've gone through some mid 30s growth spurt.

@outbriefcandle You might have better posture due to weight loss or exercise. Also I've read that people are a tiny bit taller in the morning because our spines also compress over the day from gravity.

@outbriefcandle You either were standing up straighter or had less spinal compression. You could have had less spinal compression because it was earlier in the day than usual for a measurement or because you had previously had a large spinal load and you now dont. Weight loss, etc. I’d say it’s good any way you look at it
