What are these bars used for?
@jhillaire84 I climb up and down, but the sign near the one I use says it is to test your vertical reach.
@jhillaire84 1) a beam where you hang from the bottom and move your way to the top
2) looks like a balancing beam where you walk with one foot in front of the other.
3) I have no idea
@jhillaire84 Philosophically, BWF doesn't need specific equipment for specific exercises. Use however you want!
That said:
1 - I've used it for climbing.
2 - Certainly for balance practice (try forwards and backwards!).
3 - No idea.
@faith33 Oh I know, I climb the first one all the time! Just wanted to know the "intended" purpose
@jhillaire84 I think that there is a low (slanted) bar for the purpose of training assisted jumps (getting to jump higher and higher) and a high bar for the purpose of training maximum jump height.
