Running the Giant program- C+P or push press/jerk?

@mir2017lma The negative on the jerk helps with pressing strength to some degree.. For overall strength long cycle ie clean & jerk for 5-10mins non stop is a huge killer - of ego and body 🤣

    1x12kg Jerk; 20mins; 130 reps

@hmm2227 Thanks! Someone has to keep the light weights moving as well or they might feel left out 😅

    1x12kg Jerk; 20mins; 130 reps

@rkm Yay! Glad the jerks get your approval! 😅 Will keep trying to relax more. Relaxing with 2x12 overhead holds for 30s - 2m until I'm trembling helped me relax my shoulders in the overhead position.. will keep doing those and extending where possible.. I also saw this video by Solomon...

    1x12kg Jerk; 20mins; 130 reps

@hosslyn13 Thank you! Jerks definitely hit different compared to swings, squats, etc. And doing them for a long set feels completely different!

On week 4 of training 3x a week...How long until I see results?

@householder29 The biggest win at 30 days will be if you feel comfortable and confident to continue your 3x a week routine for another 30-60-90 days. The biggest risk right now is if you feel it's not been worthwhile and you stop. Whether the specific exercises you're doing and the diet you...

    1x12kg Jerk; 20mins; 130 reps

Full video: 1x12 Jerks For the Sat endurance session I thought I'd try and see how long I could do 1x12 jerk with multi-switch. Ended up with 66l + 64r. Was switching every 5 reps for the first 7 minutes, and then had to slow down to 3 reps per side for the next 14 minutes. Total 130 jerks...

    I don't understand S&S strength standards

@franciscovelasco 5m of tgu vs 2m of jerk - same weight. Which one develops core and whole body better? And is easier to learn to boot? And which one transfers better to more kb work?

    I don't understand S&S strength standards

@franciscovelasco The usual recommendation to do the program is to buy the book. I have no issues with recommending 10x10 swings (ideally emom imho) id recommend the swing progression that Geoff neupert wrote up for instance.. Heavy tgu is another matter entirely. And how well the tgu...

Hit 300 swings/day! Thanks to all of you for motivation, support, & feedback!

Update: My 5km fun run was right on target, wanted to complete it in 40min, and did 40:18. I got confused about the distance left at the end, or I would have run more in the last 500m. There was no running practice I did for this. Only kb and mainly swings. Happy with the conditioning cross...

    I don't understand S&S strength standards

@franciscovelasco There are a ton of online resources that are better than the book for learning to swing. In fact id bet most folks learn to swing from the videos than the book.
