@jonjones229 Can we stop pretending that Reykjavik has a shot to podium? Great job on todays evens but they will not be able to have Lauren dodge using her lat all weekend.

@justprayproject No one who saw what happened last night can possibly think they can podium. It's neat that they shot from 17th to 5th in two events, but they just got lucky that Lauren only had to do a squat and run today. They're gonna bomb multiple events because she won't be able to complete the movements.

@jonjones229 Worked out nicely for Reykjavik that only one girl does the jerk and the other does the squat. Not that it'll matter much in the end but still.

In the minority, but I enjoy watching the teams more than the individuals.

@jonjones229 Kind of surprised the variance in strength across the team division. Some guys struggling to FS 325 while others are hitting 400+. Kind of crazy to make the games with a 325 FS.

@dawn16 Watching the team with the one girl failing the peg boards yesterday was rough.
Watching LF fail dips was rough. It’s cringe when the gaps (for whatever reason) are so stark between competitors

@jonjones229 So on the leaderboard they’ve tagged a onto CrossFit 8020 while Filthy150 have a pick of them all under an flag.

They represent Ireland

They are affiliated to Crossfit UK and Eire

@kennybest Normal where? It’s certainly not “normal” for Eire and NI people to identify as both, it’s 2 different countries.

It would only make sense if a couple of the team had a mix of individuals from both countries

As for McQuaid that’s always confused me, everything online suggests she’s from NI which would mean she would compete under the United Kingdom - so for her to compete under an Irish flag she must consider herself Irish not NI
