@barronkanetaylor The YouTube and social media algorithms shamefully reward that kind of 'influencer' behavior. He doesn't actually believe dual snatches are dangerous. He makes the same claims about thrusters. But that kind of clickbait is profitable.
He's a businessman targeting the ever growing demographic of people who want an excuse not to workout too hard.
@barronkanetaylor Replied to a comment below as well, but if you slightly miss the catch with one kettlebell you have the option of moving your body or bending slightly and centering the shoulder below the kettlebell.
With two kettlebells, of course, you would end up compromising the other.
Dropping the kettlebells on your head is hyperbole, but if you mess up the catch and try to correct and you got two heavy things in positions where you can't physically hold them, there is a suddenly a lot going on. With light enough weights this is not an issue as you can usually muscle them to a position where you can hold them.
@stars_andwonder OMG stop, he's just trying to scare people away from other people's programming. Nobody who's ever competed in weightlifting and used kettlebells genuinely believes snatching 2 kb's is more dangerous than heavy OHS or full barbell snatches.
