Exercise with high blood pressure

I’m a menopausal female (51). Just started meds for HBP. Recommendations for starting at a gym which hopefully will reduce my blood pressure naturally.
I’m overweight and not done gym workouts for at least 2 years.
I walk a mile and a half to work 2/3 x’s a week but not much else. Thanks.
