@grace4nan In an Olympic year (was this event a qualifier??) that’s pretty respectable.

@casimiro Most international meets like these are ROBI qualifiers. Also W76kg is not an olympic category so none of the athletes qualified in the rankings or still working through it are doing that session - all went up to 81 or 71.

She did okay, put a score on the board but wasn't unfortunately a great performance.

@vanessajv98 She came back too late to official WL anyway so she didn't do some of the mandatory meets for the olympic qualification. Also 76 is her natural weight these days, I don't think she would want/could go down (or up).

@grace4nan yup, this was a good mental test. Putting a score on the board is already a feat at an international meet in the A group, pushing you to open a bit heavier than you normally would.

@casimiro While the event itself is part of the Olympic qualifying process, the 76kg class for women will not be a weight class in Paris.

@mike1911 Entries in the -76 class count under -81 for the OQR. There’s a lot of politics and reasons for athletes to cut or not going on in the current qualification system. Some athletes are still changing classes to try and get Olympic spots outside of their first pick.
