Never thought I would achieve this

I’ve been lifting for about 15 years. Vegan for +12 years. I’ve worked through injuries, other health problems, work travel, and the pandemic. Stayed true to my vegan values. Achieving my goals has been slow, hard work. Bar muscle up, 6-pack, lifting heavier…

But I never saw my latest accomplishment coming. I didn’t think it was possible, but the persistence has made off. I have acquired a taste for raw, unseasoned high-protein tofu! Love it!
 
@sozomai Damn, I see you are a tough guy, I’m still far from eating raw tofu…

What routine worked best to achieve this milestone? I tried 4x marinated tofu/week, and 2x raw tofu to failure.

I started adding it raw tofu to other foods before eating, like soup, sandwiches, and even veggie burgers. Also added it into smoothies. All that is pretty easy (and a big help to hit protein goals).

With so much tofu around, I’d occasionally take a bite completely on its own - and cringing. But other time, the cringe became a crave!
 
@sozomai I recommend grating it and putting any sauce of your choice for delicious tofu spread as an entry to eating raw tofu. Easy, versatile and very good.
 
@sozomai I spend half my workout now thinking about how excited I am to go home and eat Trader Joe's high protein tofu right out of the package, something about it just hits all the right spots 🥵🥵
 
@sozomai Hahaha I started liking Raw plain tofu probably 3 years into being vegan. You just gotta have the right type! For me it's the one from the Asian store 🤤👌
