Do you think having teams of m/m, f/f, and m/f all compete in the same division fair?

Joined a comp the other day and I was unaware that they pooled all three different types of teams together. This means that m/m, f/f, and m/f teams will all be competing against each other. Obviously the weight the guys use will be different than the girls. But doesn’t this seem like an uneven playing field?

@stephenb I competed f/f in a comp like that and podiumed with two m/f teams. Seemed fair because they used appropriate weights and conversion factor for the lifts.

@stephenb They would need to be very carefully scaled and planned workouts to make them equal. Weights need to be scaled properly which can be tough, calories or distances in the rower/bike, etc. so it can be done, but I wouldn’t design a comp like that.

@stephenb Battle Cancer by chance? i see they have an event in Belfast coming up and I had a look to see the team compositions, seemed to tally up with what you're saying.
