How much protein should i be eating a day

Ive seen people say its 0.8 grams of protein per pound that u weigh but ive also seen people say its 1 gram per pound, i weigh about 132 pounds rn and im eating about 140+ grams of protein a day is that ok if im trying to gain muscle fast?
 
@blessin .8-1 gram is optimal range. If you’re eating in a surplus, where in that area doesn’t necessarily matter, but if you’re in a deficit eating high protein will help significantly.
 
@blessin Studies have shown that .6g is where a majority of gains are but getting 1g is most optimal and anything after that is very very small differences
So essentially you only NEED .6 but youre leaving gains on the table if you dont get 1g
