My routine is push legs pull

except for bench press my rep range for all exercises is 10-12 reps for 3-4 sets

I'm cutting and some people told me I should increase it to 15-20X3 or do 5X5 for some exercises but.. why tho

what's the point of it

5X5 for mass sure but for cutting... and 15-20X3 for what purpose.. what's the problem with 12X3 if i gradually increase my weights in the gym

@tim_o No problem with it. 12 to 20 is good repetition for toning. Looking really chisiled. Light weight and high reps, or trying to get as heavy as possible for those high rep ranges. Works really well for bodybuilding and cutting. Not as well for strength. 10 to 12 rep range works just the same. If you like that range just stick with it. It will work just fine. People overthink rep ranges too much. Unless you're lifting purely for strength, you don't need to worry so much about it.
