I want bigger legs and I want your advice

@fish3rofm3n To build the kind of legs you want, your going need to do weighted leg exercises.

I'm 25M, 180lbs, Software Engineer so we are pretty similar i guess. Body weight squats will only take you so far. Many calisthenic youtubers/influencers that have big legs also incorporate a bodybuilding style leg day (barbell squats, weighted lunges, quad extensions, etc.) in their training because building the legs up with only body weight movement is just not enough to get the results they want. I'm not saying its not possible with only body weight, its just going to be a lot harder to do.

@fish3rofm3n Harder variation bodyweight exercises...

I hate the results since I started cycling uphills almost every day. It is long, difficult, exhausting. You gotta push through the burn and limit of your cardio capabilities... But it is really rewarding...

I literally cannot deep squat in most of my pants because of how tight they are (I don't wear skinny jeans), and all that after a month.

Does not have to be MTB, but deffinetly think about similar modalities of training and how that would apply to BWF.

Progressive overload is the key tho, and also focus. Focus is your biggest asset. One step, one goal, one sweatdrop at a time.

Also fix ur recovery. Most likely lagging, tho I haveny read your post fully.

@fish3rofm3n Hit the gym and lift some weights. That may be some hard to swallow pill on this sub, but it is what it is.

Sure you can do sprints, variations of squats etc.
The problem is your heart won’t be strong enough to really push your legs for growth.

@fish3rofm3n Get a bike or go hiking. That's worked well for me, I don't have body builder legs but they've definitely gotten noticeably bigger. I don't even do leg workouts anymore. I have a friend who plays a lot of ddr and his legs are crazy. Like jacked. If you want body builder legs you gotta build them like a body builder though.

@fish3rofm3n Just from experience, I used to rollerblade everyday and I had massive calves and thighs. I assume as others have suggested, an appropriate weighted routine with correct diet would be effective as well.
