Thoughts on going to gym?

Hello! What are tour thoughts on going to the gym this quarantine? I’m planning to start going to the gym this weekend at pound for pound congressional but i don’t know kung itutuloy ko. Baka may experience na kayo sa branch na iyon, kamusta naman? Ayos ba facilities? Ung trainors ok din ba? Thank you sa mga sasagot!

P.S. I have no experience going to the gym btw. So still a virgin here lol.
 
@monosy Pre-covid, gusto ko din sana mag-try sa Pound for Pound since ang baba ng membership and monthly fees plus may coach pa.

Pero nung nagtanong ako sa pinsan ko kung paano setup nila. Sabi niya, may manila paper lang daw kung saan nakasulat yung workout routines for that day na dapat mong gawin depende sa program mo. Tapos ide-demo lang ng coaches at the beginning. Tapos lalapitan ka lang para mag-correct if mapansin nila, pero ultimately sariling paced mo pa din. Kaya nag-stick nalang ako sa bakal gyms.

At dahil bakal gym lang, hindi pa rin ako bumabalik since February for obvious reasons. Ayoko din mag-workout ng may mask. So, I got myself weighted jumprope, 2 adjustable dumbbells and bands.
 
@monosy Sariling sikap. Usually, may screenshot na ako ng workouts na gusto ko gawin during my visit, since wala namang time limit. Marami na din namang mga maskulado dun na ituturo sayo tamang form kapag nakikita nilang nag-struggle ka.

So siguro combination of online coach at bakal gym ang maire-recommend ko. Dun sa bakal gym na pinupuntahan ko dati, 50 pesos lang per visit. More or less ganon lang din naman siguro sa iba, yung matitipid mo dun, gamitin mo na lang sa online coach para may workout and meal plans ka na.
 
@monosy Gyms are full of potentially infectious aerosols and droplets, given the nature of exercise. And the risk of infection is higher in indoor settings. I personally wouldn't risk it.

I've been doing yoga and bodyweight exercises.
 
@monosy OP, if I may suggest. Try mong i-download yung Rebel app kung wala ka pa. Beginner friendly siya. Feeling ko bagay sayo to kickstart your journey. May makikita kang iba't ibang klaseng workouts don plus may easy to follow recipes pa. Free lang siya. Yun lang gamit ko kase na-lost na ako nung ma-attain ko na yung desired weight ko. Haha.
 
@monosy To be honest, I just discovered it a month ago. Some of the exercises were not challenging for me. Some naman would leave me dripping with sweat, usually kapag may equipment involved, like a pair of dumbbells.

The recipes naman were super easy to recreate! 👌🏼

Overall, it's shocking that the app is free eh.
 
@monosy My opinion... Just visit and check if their safety and sanitizing protocols are in check. Its not enough thay they say they clean every so often..

I know pound for pound is affordable which means maybe more people you dont know have access to it as well...

Or praning lang ako..
