2022 NoBull CrossFit Games IE6: Up and Over Discussion Thread

@aaron2025 They always shit on Adam’s strength. She was one of many people who struggled getting up the stairs.

Yes she struggled on that snatch ladder and max out events, but she got 5th freakin place in the Capitol event. She’s strong as shit. Any workout with normal womens barbell weight or dumbbell weight, she moves it fast.

@jarvis75 I was laughing (and crying) at them making a point of saying how big of a weakness strength is during the shuttle run event, when she is repping like 40kg heavier than my max 😂😂

@jonjones229 Ugh I don’t like it when announcers of any sport praise playing through gross injury. Ripped hands, sure but here and in NFL etc makes me uneasy

Edit: I mean injuries that could have lasting damage, ie Baker Mayfield

@lipglasshoney Nikki Brazier and Mike Arsenault. Not really because Nikki has been doing it for a while … and in previous she was the one predominantly doing the after win interviews but not like this where both genders winners are there at same time. That’s kinda new. Mike previously was more describing the course the athletes will take.

@lipglasshoney I mean, a woman barely knew about Cam Newton’s routes (even tho sports reporting is her job) so why should a women talk about jumping over a log??

Sexism in sports media is super relevant still unfortunately

@dawn16 Unfortunately true. It irritates me especially as a mma fan and having to hear Joe Rohan and Daniel Cormier who don’t take their job seriously and usually fuck around all broadcast while Laura Sanko is relegated to Tuesday night events not many people watch. She’s as good as they come but we gotta have 2 biased goofballs in the booth for most PPVs.
