For a long time I have been waiting to get the Echo windguard, it was unavailable for months, now they came up with a new version of it that sucks! So finally decided to build my own, I have seen many on the web, but for a nice and expensive machine I wanted something that at least look decent and I could not find one that I like, so I decided to make my own. Surprisingly I spent more time at HomeDepot trying to find the right materials than putting them together, I spent like $10 and it was very easy! It took me about 15 mins, all I needed was a piece of Pipe Insulation and a packet of cable ties.

I am not going to write the instructions since is very straight forward, but wanted to share the idea.

One important thing, the cool thing about of the pipe insulation is that it has an adhesive strip on the edges which makes it easer to install and it looks good in black.

@redponydriver I mean props to people who want one and who like it. But to me the wind in the face is literally the only good thing about being on an Assault/Echo bike… it’s like a fan in hell…

@robertcf Thats a simple idea, I like it.

The wind is not what bothers me, its knowing that whatever is floating in the wind is now in my lungs. I am sure I breath in enough bacteria everyday without a fan forcing it down my throat.
