8 years off

@lep Did CrossFit on Keto 2x and was worst week of my life both times.

Started eating carbs again and workouts were instantly better (within 2 days).

I focus more on macros and maintaining portion control for cutting and work harder / feel better in the gym.
 
@lep Ahhh yes I did this as well! Started CF in my early 20’s after being a D1 college athlete back in 2013-16. I did the comps and all that. Was pretty great at the paleo diet.
I then went back to school for my career which placed me on graveyard hours (still rocking them btw). Got married. Got pregnant.
Now I’m ready to get back into shape after 2.5 years postpartum and I’m facing the same issues.
I’ve lost about 12lbs and I manage my macros through MyFitnessPal. Best thing ever. I’ve also gone Gluten Free which has helped a lot.
My best advice a part from others is to jump in the pool. You want endurance? Find a local masters swim team and try it out. Swimming is insane for your lungs and the best kind of recovery for muscle. Good luck!
