Can barely do pushups solved!

@angie197167 It is. But you need to speak in layman's terms.

If all you do is speak in professional terms and can't explain it to other people, then you're pretty useless to the public.
 
@pastorjeff2u Ok I know this is an old post, but wanted to say I stumbled upon this and 1) my depth increased significantly with this cue + focus on external rotation, 2) my "up" speed increased significantly, 3) my shoulders DO NOT HURT!!

Pushups have always been weird to me - they've felt great during inchworm or burpee type exercises, but doing them "on their own" was always a challenge. This post & comments on this post helped me identify why - hand position and opening the chest were happening naturally during those combos, and not at all doing "just" pushups! I'm thrilled :D
