@pastorjeff2u Ok I know this is an old post, but wanted to say I stumbled upon this and 1) my depth increased significantly with this cue + focus on external rotation, 2) my "up" speed increased significantly, 3) my shoulders DO NOT HURT!!
Pushups have always been weird to me - they've felt great during inchworm or burpee type exercises, but doing them "on their own" was always a challenge. This post & comments on this post helped me identify why - hand position and opening the chest were happening naturally during those combos, and not at all doing "just" pushups! I'm thrilled
@pastorjeff2u Ik this convo is over now but I'm struggling to do even knee pushups(barely started) will definitely try this...thank you so much. This advice seems legit
