Good day everyone!

I’m looking for advice and clarifications.

Yung plan ko is magpa bulk at gain muscles. Bale I weigh about 66kg and height ko is 5’9.

At mejo nababahala po ako sa sinabi ng iba at hihingi po sana ako ng clarification
  2. Kailangan daw araw araw ang gym? Sorry noob question. Balak ko sana is 3 days straight a week dahil may work ako on weekdays
Sports ko if it helps. Badminton and Running. Tho eventually plan ko mag OCR

Any advice and clarification po is highly appreciated 😄

  1. No, supplements are entirely optional. They are literally used to supplement your diet to reach your calories/macro goals, which you can definitely hit through eating regular food.
  2. Not true. Three days is fine but you should look up how much volume (sets x reps per muscle group) you need to properly stimulate muscle growth.
  3. Absolute nonsense.

@jwroe Just to add on the previous above.

Make sure na ung other sports mo will be done moderately and at least 6 hours apart sa strength training mo.

Heavy cardio sports like running burns a lot of calorie, kaya mas mapipilitan ka kumain ng mas madami to be on calorie surplus para mag bulk at gain weight.

This is important para maging quality ung work out mo.

  1. No. Can gain mass thru whole foods, which is undeniably better
  2. No. Weight manipulation is done in the kitchen
  3. No. It might look smaller once you get tree trunks for quads

  1. No. Mass gainer is whey with additional calories coming from carbs and fat. Ginagamit sya para makakuha ng additional protein and calories to your macros. You can have the same result using whey and eating ice cream. Or eating more real foods (which is mahirap for some kasi nakaka-bloat kumain ng sobrang dami).
  2. No. If you are bulking focus on reaching the hypertrophy stimulus point and couple it with a calorie surplus diet and a recovery phase each time you hit a muscle group. Daily lifting sessions might be too demanding to a beginner. Saka mapupunta yung calories sa expenditure instead of it adding to your body weight kung araw araw ka mag-ggym.

  2. As a beginner you only need to train 3 times a week or maybe 4 depende din sa program mo basta nahihit mo lahat ng muscles twice every 7 days.
  3. Walang scientific basis. Baka sinasabi lang nila kase in the first place maliit na naghanap lang ng masisisi.

  1. Mass gainer = supplements. As it says "supplements". By definition is "to add". Generally, the idea is get as much as possible via whole foods. If it's hard then tska ka mag supplements. So nag add ka kasi di kaya via whole foods. Again, that the general idea.
  2. Araw araw for bulking? Not really necessary. Daming variables to consider but generally 2-3 times a week is good. Even 6 days a week can be good. But just to add, the concept of exercise is to break muscles. Recovery is where you build muscles. So kung araw araw ka sa gym and you don't have enough time to recover that would be counterproductive sa goal mo. So nag add ako ng variable which is recovery. Again, exercise = breaks muscles and recovery = builds muscles and there are a lot of variables to discuss which can be different from 1 individual to another before we can say good and daily vs 3 times/week. But 2-3 times a week is a good start.
  3. relative size kasi yan bro
Badminton & running makes you lose more calories. Generally, bulking you need more calories. Badminton & running will make you lose calories. But those are still good. You can still bulk but depends on how much bulk you need and how intense your badminton & running is.
