@jwilson757 Sorry to hear about that. Something similar happened to me after finishing on a podium. Leaves a rather bad taste in the mouth after an otherwise great weekend.

MCU refusing to run the story and then being dismissive about it doesn't surprise me at all. After a few emails to their editor regarding the fact that they don't clearly label their advertorials, Justin himself replied to me telling me that they aren't obligated to do so, and said something to the effect that ads disguised as articles are now standard in modern digital media.

I don't expect perfection out of a grassroots start-up media outlet, but I do expect a modicum of journalistic integrity.

@jkhaemba Yeah I was involved in CF for 4 years and several of our members have been too, one who observed screwing over podium finishers is not all that surprising. CrossFit Moxie ran the comp btw.

@budalazena There is a reason all International federations of sports use kgs.

CF needs to decide, are you a US sport with international participation, or a true international sport.

@quitesmoking123 It’s not even that, someone forgot that women’s bars are 15kg and loaded the bars as if they were 20. That’s where the 5kg difference comes from. But yes I agree that Crossfit should switch to kg primarily
