Hey everyone, it's been a year since I've started hitting the gym. I started on October 22nd 2022 and I've been doing my best to increase all my lifts. I'm now 5'10 (178 cm) at 200 pounds (90.72 kgs) and I just turned 18 less than a month ago. You can check out my last post [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/workout/comments/12sxt9k/update\_powerlifting\_progress\_link\_in\_description/).

My initial SBD from October 22nd 2022 at 165 pounds (74.84 kgs) bodyweight was:

Squat: 185 lbs (83.91 kgs)

Bench: 135 lbs (61.24 kgs)

Deadlift: 265 lbs (120.20 kgs)

Total: 585 lbs (265.35 kgs)

My CURRENT SBD as of October 22nd 2023 at 200 pounds (90.72 kgs) bodyweight is:

Squat: 420 lbs (190.51 kgs)

Bench: 330 lbs (149.69 kgs)

Deadlift: 485 lbs (219.99 kgs)

@dbboy You are strong as shit, damn..

Are you bothered about body composition / gaining fat at all or entirely focused on strength, however you get there?

@judge2 I'm a little bothered by how I've gathered some fat in some unwanted areas, so I'm trying to reduce my fat percentage by dieting properly. Hopefully I can hit 180 pounds (81.65 kgs) and still retain and maybe even gain some strength.

@dbboy I’m currently on a 500kcal deficit and I’ve been getting stronger every week for the past few weeks. I’m not actually sure why but significantly stronger in every lift. So as long as you don’t cut calories too low and eat an appropriate meal before workouts, I’m sure you can keep gaining strength too
