I’m so tired of hearing “it’s not like they’re going to the games...”

@devonian Haha. I agree in principal, but honestly- if adults are lying and not being honest about reps and rounds, their issues go beyond the scope of your duty as a crossfit coach. Your time is better spent with those who want to get better.

@devonian I don’t like cheating as much as the next guy, but I do understand that many people should lay off the average person. It’s NOT because we think they should cheat. It’s because our lives have bigger problems and worrying that much just isn’t worth our time. Take a breath and relax. Just have fun doing CrossFit!

@cholachrist Exactly this. I have zero judgement for a legit score that is low. If you have a medium/high score that I know you cheated to get, I have to believe you have self esteem issues and want to inflate your number to make yourself feel better. But everyone knows. Everyone knows you can't really do it and they know you're a BSer. Even Janet in the back of the gym that said "good job" and gave you a high five just didn't have the heart to tell you she knows your score is make believe. She's worried about your self esteem too.

@combi What about people that have set a goal to finish in the top 200 of an age division? Those people are potentially being pushed out of contention by rep shavers and cheaters. It is serious for people that work their asses off all year for that opportunity. I would rather not rob them of that opportunity so I can rank higher on the leaderboard.

@devonian Heard this is the thread for people butthurt about the Open, and also other people's opinions?

You're letting it get to ya, bud. Make sure your homestead consists of upstanding people and count that as a success. Coming in here and writing in a terribly upset tone, pointing fingers at essentially all of us, may not result in the outcome you want.

@raviathon Stepping back from it is a good idea.

I'm trying to be the guy that has real pretty form on every rep, rather than big on the white board (if both cool).

People notice, or at least I did/do when someone has a beautiful snatch.

@p8089 Agreed. I'm very new so my form sucks, so I watch others as I learn. On Saturday a gal next to me had perfect form (on top of a very fit body) on snatches and thrusters, it was really cool to watch.
