@jonjones229 Just caught replay of the team ruck run and holy crap what a bloodbath that event was! People littered all over that parking lot after the final horn! 😲

@jackaharts It sounded like they weren’t saying this year necessarily. But maybe has the most long term potential? That was a quote from her coach, who’s also coaching shadburne, and Pearce. So I’d think he obviously sees something there if he’s saying it.

@cassandra23 I have a nagging suspicion that this is Tia's last year competing, so it seems like a total cop out to say. Doubly so if it's a comparison to Shadburne and Pearce since Danielle is the youngest of the three so she likely has more "potential."

IMO it feels like lazy commentary to echo that sentiment during broadcast when she hasn't delivered on the hype she's gotten recently. It's one thing for a coach to say "my athlete is great and a contender for the top of the podium" and another thing entirely to try to paint her as such to everyone else.

@dereklirus The ol' eating food on the couch while judging athletes performance. First it's sanctionals most of them are semipro sort of a dedicated hobby except the last heat. Second they just blew up their lats, ams, their core, and their quads then got on the rower and probably trying to conserve for a dumbbell that is rough to move for most of them.

I have no doubt most can usually easily hold the numbers you listed but go do even just 80 GHD situps and see how your row is feeling. Not to mention the other events they've already done.

@faithfullyfit 40 cals is a sprint. Even with residual fatigue from earlier events, and cumulative fatigue from
The current event, 900 pace is really bad. I don’t know why this sub thinks otherwise.

Even Mat in his interview was saying that the pace needs to be pretty much full tilt. But I guess this sub knows more than the 5x champ?
