Welcome back to another episode of Sunday Show Off where we look past our shortcomings from yesterday and showcase the beastly things you're doing with bodyweight fitness. Whether you're flexing your sweet gains in a series of bathroom selfies, doing back levers like a boss, or planching on all the things, **this thread is for you to share with and inspire others!*

Note that we aren’t limited to what we're discussing on the FAQ. Show us anything noteworthy. This may include aspects of: gymnastics, climbing, parkour, weight loss/gain, posture, etc. They are all more than welcome in this thread.

We also want to remind you that we've been sharing your content on @redditbwf on both Instagram and Twitter. Help us grow our sub's social media in order to reach out to non-Redditors across these other platforms!

Thanks to /@jaz6773, we've got a video compilation of all the clips submitted from last week, which you can view here.
  • There was also this video from /@romans82, who captured his first pistol squat.
  • ...and this photo of /@ukubird's handstands, which he is now capable of holding for much longer than 30 seconds.
  • /@silas1325 no longer has nerves in her feet. She sacrificed them to do these for karma.
A few of our posted reports came from:
  • /@chris5023 was able to progress from 3x8 pistol squats to one full (1x4) set of shrimp squats on each leg. He's trying to go to full sets of shrimp squats to hand-behind-the-back pistols.
  • /@lgonz reached his goal of doing hands below feet Jefferson curls with 105lbs/48kg weight.
  • /@newchristian9010 worked up to a 3x5 shoulder press with feet raised 6" on a stool instead of on the floor.
  • /@tielec reported in after doing his 4th workout in his first week of the beginner routine.
  • /@mabet has been doing a lot of swimming workouts and feeling like he'll be able to do get his high elbow catch and improve on balance after learning to breathe more efficiently.
  • /@nangua321 succeeded in doing his first ever pseudo planche push-ups, now understanding full and well what it takes to train up to the planche.
  • /@jmw4grace managed holding a crow stand for 7 seconds and increasing his pull-ups up to 3x6.
  • /@mundy found out he could do a 10 second tuck L-sit after weeks of training on-legged variations.
  • /@bluebawler completed week 1 of the beginner routine and we're hoping this week marks the second. Fantastic check-in!
  • /@sajamor can now do 5x4 strict, controlled chest-to-bar pull-ups.
Fantastic work everyone! Let’s all continue to congratulate and encourage each other on any improvements made this week, no matter how minuscule! So don't be shy, post what you've been working on!

Last week’s Show Off thread

Check out some of the previous Sunday Show Off threads for more inspiration! Archives here and here.

As always, many of us are on the IRC and would love to meet our BWF brothers and sisters, wherever you're from!

@groo101 I only held it for a second or two, and my legs were not straight, and it so it generally sucked, but I got an L-sit this week. Four months ago I had no idea how I was going to get my heels off the floor in this position, it just seemed impossible, but this week I did it. Fuck you, the past!

@dreadmega You may be super new, but that's fantastic progress. Now that this is less of a challenge for you, consider alternative variations to continue stimulating growth in your strength and stability. Great work!

@neillaexanori Just stick with them. They are more to do with teaching decent posture for other movements than making you stronger. Maybe look up some articles on cues for the various positions and make sure you are doing all the little things like squeezing the thighs and glutes together etc.

@commissioned2encourageu What happened with the video you posted last week! When I was writing the thread today I couldn't find your submission anymore. Regardless, I wanted to express the same sentiment as /@riverrose. DAT STRADDLE PLANCHE man.

@groo101 Okay this week's a doozy;

I believe this first exercise is called "frenchies" (If anyone knows for sure please correct me and forgive my ignorance.)

Fingertip Pushups. Particularly happy with this one as the last time I tried fingertip pushups I could barely manage 8 and that was with terrible finger aches. I maxed out on this attempt at 23 reps (clean) and finished when I felt I couldn't maintain form. My forearms are feeling a little fragile following that.

I just came home from a park session earlier. Here are my results;

Muscle up + jump drills

Part 2: Spinnin' skinnin' and walking it out

Pullup Progression Combo

Varied grip muscle ups: Another milestone for me as I've never been able to do anything wider than a neutral grip width. Still chasing that super clean wide grip... baby steps.

Close modified grip muscle up + Lever exercises.

Silliness.

I have also made a compilation of all my performance milestones in 2014. (A bit over four minutes.)

Everybody's submissions are great so far. Keep it up, everyone!
